I am an Honours Mathematics graduate from the University of Waterloo, with a passion for (and experience in) Computer Science.
I love creating interactive applications, whether they be websites, games, organizational tools, or just fun projects to learn new technologies.
See more about my hobbies in the above tabs, but as a primer...
I'm a history buff, tech tinkerer, fitness devotee, music addict, struggling reader, story telling enthusiast, and horrible cook.
My Favourite 'Past-time':
History doesn't repeat itself, but it does often rhymes(Mark Twain) rings true to me, the almost eerie relatability of our ancestors- despite all the progress dividing us- fascinates me!
Previously:
I have explored Antiquity, The Islamic Golden Age, Medieval Eurasia, The Age Of Discovery, The Gunpowder Empires, The Age of Imperialism, and Decolonization.
Current Fascination:
These days I'm preoccupied with the early modern period, in which the beginnings of true globalization, the fundamental foundation of the modern world (particularly regarding World-Systems Theory), and the infancy of current political paradigms began.
Next In Line:
In the next few years, I hope to tackle the Victorian age, a much more recognizable world, which's consequences are much more easily translatable to current events.Games:
How it all began ... my first video game of all time was
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and from the moment I first played it, I was engrossed! The prospect of a digital world was forever fascinating to me thereafter. Fast forward a few years, and due to changing circumstances, I no longer had the hardware to play games. Only one solution came to mind, I had to build my own!
... Thus began my first adventures into serious programming, and inevitably MATHMusic:
Having a low attention span but an appreciation for poetry, I gravitate towards Rap, and modern renditions of Indian poetry, mostly Sufi, Punjabi, and folk.
Generally listening to the former during workouts and the latter at all other times

Film:
I'm a big believer in the transcendental ability of art, no matter the medium, language, style, etc. As such, I enjoy watching any movie that can make you genuinely feel something, whether it be heartwarming coming-of-age stories like
Udaan and
Wake Up Sid, or a soul crushing tragedy such as
Hope.
... also a good historical epic never hurts!Preface:
Being the grandson of an author and the son of a professor, reading has always been a hobby I valued. Reading abdriged versions of Huckleberry Finn, Sherlock Holmes, and Dickens used to be a daily activity for me.
Yet, since my adoption of technology (along with deeper academic commitments) I have found myself reading less and less. Recently I have been able to reignite this passion through the help of peer study and audiobooks.
My Reading List:
The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin by Benjamin Franklin
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Siddharta by Herman Hesse
